AC-REP Commits to Cultivating, Growing Future Leaders

Application Period for New LEAD Metro North Program Now Open

Westminster, March 22, 2021 – Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP) today launched an exciting new program to cultivate and grow leaders in Adams County and the greater metro region. AC-REP is partnering with Westminster’s Leadership Science Institute to provide participants rich leadership training and impactful skills development.

LEAD (Learn Elevate Achieve Develop) Metro North is an 11-month professional development, business/community engagement, and immersion program. It is geared toward individuals who want to:  enhance their careers through leadership development; learn more about Adams County industries and the metro north economy; and build relationships with key community leaders.

“The LEAD program is a unique program that offers leaders from our local businesses an opportunity to learn more about themselves and develop their leadership skills by connecting with other accomplished leaders in our community,” said Ellen Duran, Community Relations Manager for North Suburban Medical Center and Leadership Advisory Board Chair.

“LEAD participants visit successful industry sectors in Adams County to learn best practices and gain insight into how each of these industries contributes to the success of our area. Each participant will build relationships that will benefit them in their career and will last a lifetime. I know I have,” she commented.

LEAD Metro North will bring together private, public, and nonprofit participants for cross-collaboration to discuss the region’s most prominent challenges, growth, and opportunities.

AC-REP seeks to build a highly talented, diverse, cross-sector class for 2021-2022 of approximately 25-30 professionals who are interested in expanding their leadership capabilities. Interested individuals can learn more, see tuition rates, and apply online at the LEAD Metro North page of AC-REP’s website.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on June 30, 2021. The selected class members will be announced the week of Aug. 2, 2021, and the LEAD Kickoff/Meet & Greet Event is planned for Aug. 26, 2021.

In addition to having employees participate in LEAD Metro North, area businesses can also engage in the program through various sponsorship opportunities. Fiore & Sons, Inc., a privately held heavy civil contractor providing a wide range of civil contracting and management services on a regional basis, is the program’s LEAD Title Sponsor.

The LEAD Metro North Program is about impact, LEAD will increase individual awareness and impact on our communities. Participants will definitely come away excited and inspired,” said Butch Fiore, Owner/President of Fiore & Sons, Inc., LEAD Title Sponsor.

Goodwill of Colorado has signed on as one of five Presenting Sponsors. “As an organization dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fullest potential, Goodwill is proud to sponsor the LEAD Metro North program to assist in driving business leader’s professional development and Colorado’s economic growth,” said Goodwill of Colorado CEO Karla Grazier.

There are also several Event Sponsorships available. Companies or organizations interested in supporting leadership development and gaining exposure through the program can email AC-REP’s Vice President of Investor & Community Relations Deb Durand, or call 720.758.8382 for more information.
