The City of Thornton will officially open the Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center, 550 E. Thornton Pkwy., Suite #170, to assist in the recovery of small businesses that have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A grand opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for October 8 at 10 a.m. at the center.
“Alliance/Alianza Thornton Business Assistance Center is a network of private, public and non-profit small business resource providers,” says Thornton Local Business Administrator Robin Martinez. “The center will help business owner’s access local programs and services that support and assist their efforts to re-establish their business operations as they maneuver through the pandemic-changed business landscape.”
The Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center offers program and consulting related to COVID-19 recovery to both Spanish and English speaking business owners.
“The city of Thornton is excited to offer free co-working and meeting space, unique counseling opportunities and all new workshop content in English and Spanish, provided by the best business service providers in Colorado,” says Martinez.
The services, programming and resources are provided by Thornton Economic Development, MiCasa, Alianza, Business of Thornton Advisory Committee, the Colorado Small Business Development Center, and SCORE of Denver which is a national network of volunteer and expert business mentors. The center is funded through the COVID-19 CARES Act Funding and the Thornton City Council.
