It is geared toward individuals who want to enhance their careers through leadership development, learn more about Adams County industries and the metro north economy, and build relationships with key community leaders. Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP) is partnering with Leadership Science Institute on this exciting program that will provide participants rich leadership training and impactful skills development. 

Throughout LEAD Metro North, participants will engage in educational and developmental opportunities to understand leadership competencies and fundamental components of Adams County and the metro north region. 

Each month, participants will dive into a different industry to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected commerce. The program provides one of a kind collaborative learning opportunity, irreplaceable multi-perspective networking opportunities through personalized introductions with leaders, elected officials, and subject-matter experts from a multitude of industries and backgrounds. 

What are the PERSONAL Benefits? 

The program is crafted for individuals who seek to advance as leaders through self-awareness and leadership development. Participants will: 

  1. Participate in skill assessments (e.g., personality, emotional intelligence, leadership styles, etc.) and gain a better understanding of their communication skills. 
  2. Expand their knowledge of the diverse dynamics of organizational and government issues, challenges, and opportunities that impact our region. 
  3. Build a lasting camaraderie with fellow participants which will bring personal and professional long-term benefits.  

What are the ORGANIZATIONAL Benefits?

Individuals will have experiences that will impact their organization’s environment both inside and outside. Organizations receive benefits through:

  • LEAD Kickoff – Meet and Greet: Aug. 26 (3 to 6 p.m.)
  • Two-day mandatory orientation/retreat: September 16-17, 2021 
  • One full weekday session on the third Thursday each month: October 2021 – May 2022
  • Community Impact Project, independent of class sessions and dependent upon the need of the project
  • Graduation Day: June 16, 2022

We are seeking to build a highly talented, diverse, cross-sector cohort of approximately 25-30 professionals who are interested in expanding their leadership capabilities. 

Participants will engage in both civic and professional endeavors. We welcome applications from individuals with the skills and knowledge to effectively engage with a multi-perspective lens regarding the Metro North region, even if the business is physically located elsewhere.

Successful Candidates Should Possess these Attributes:

  • Are driven to grow personally and professionally
  • Have a desire to connect with other community leaders
  • Be prepared to dig into difficult and potentially uncomfortable issues through a leadership lens
  • Always come to LEAD events with a growth mindset, curiosity, and ready to ask questions and engage with leaders of the day

Seroquel drug LEAD Metro North will include day-long sessions meeting monthly every third or fourth Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., plus additional required dates. Check all dates listed below to be sure you can commit.

All LEAD Metro North class days will be planned for in-person attendance, so long as COVID-19 regulations permit. For the health and safety of all participants, program activities will comply with CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines for all in-person activities. LEAD Metro North Tuition:

  • $1,995 for Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP) members
  • $2,195 for non-members. 

Tuition includes the 11 day sessions, program materials, meals, and interactive activities. Transportation is not included to and from class sessions. Tuition must be paid IN FULL one week before the program starts. Once accepted into the program, payment can be made in two installments to equal full program tuition before the program start. There are no tuition refunds. The Application Deadline has been extended to 5 p.m., July 16, 2021.

To confirm, tuition is not due unless/until participants are accepted into the 2021-2022 LEAD Metro North Class. There is no cost to apply. 


LEAD Metro North applicant interviews will be scheduled between July 12 and July 30, 2021. All applicants will be notified of their acceptance the week of August 2, 2021.  Selection is based upon a review of the entire application package and interview process. Be prepared to attend the required LEAD Kickoff/Meet and Greet and the Orientation/Retreat if/when accepted. Applicants not accepted into the program for the 2021-2022 year are always encouraged to apply again the next year.
